The Medium Square Cups are individually crafted, each side is welded by hand. Large nuts and thick wires complete this robust product. This rain chain has a 5 out of 5 waterflow index, so it's one of the best functioning on the market. It works great in varying rainfall conditions. This design is universal and one of our best sellers!
Copper: Available in a smooth, unfinished pure copper or a pre-aged (reddish streaking) option.
Aluminum: Made of pure, unfinished aluminum, so it will darken slightly overtime.
Black and Bronze: Made of aluminum and powder-coated for durability.
Weathered Steel™: Made of certified COR-TEN™ steel that is meant to rust, but only on the surface. The process is really fun to watch! A standard 8 ft. rain chain in Weathered COR-TEN™ steel weighs 11 lbs.
Patina: Made of pure aluminum, with a deep blue patina applied by hand. No two chains are exactly alike and they'll darken somewhat with time.
To prevent damage in transit and reduce packaging volume, the upper wires are shipped separately from the cups, so some assembly is required. Each rain chain comes with a matching v-hook. The v-hook sits inside the gutter opening to hold the rain chain in place.
Installation Tip:
The connecting wires have threaded end nuts. We recommend dabbing a small amount of Loctite® Blue adhesive on each end nut to prevent them from unfastening. Available at any hardware or home improvement store. Click Here for cup assembly instructions.
